City Council has agreed to continue the vote on the ordinance!
This means we will have a workshop with City Council on October 14th and then a potential vote in January 2011.
I am excessively happy that Council and City Staff are giving us the opportunity to explain our position.

83 Degrees - Puts our face on Urban Coolness
We're online! Thank you to Nick Osman, 83 Degrees and Frank Rodriguez (filmmaker) for making this video happen and bringing some more eyes to our fair garden.
Leigh Spann of Channel 8 produced a story on us as well! Annalisa Khaw was able to find the video after much searching and here is the link! Thank you to everyone who makes this garden possible. If not for all of you, we would not be in the news nor would we have so much wonderful food to eat! THANK YOU! Ahh - Gimme Gimme Good Water! :)
We still need folks to sign up for watering! We water twice a day - so please sign up for either the AM or PM (or both!) empty slots. If you have a friend that would LOVE to help out - bring 'em on down!

Urban Community Garden Models
I recently returned from Flint, Michigan where I was part of a group
that toured some of the city's numerous community gardens that have
sprouted up in recent years. I produced this report for WMNF about the
experience and the steps the city has taken to foster community gardens (in stark contrast to the roadblocks Tampa's bureaucracy has set up).
